Rescue people from the water
During April of this year, members of the Fire Rescue Service of Olomouc Region underwent one of the most challenging training near the city of Náchod. Water rescue instructors trained a specific type of the intervention on the river Úpa, namely rescue from a weir. Speed and efficiency significantly affect the rescue of drowning people from the water. The fact that the conditions for rescue and the condition of the rescued people may change at any time, usually to the worse, must not always be overlooked. The safety of intervening firefighters must also be taken into account during this type of intervention. Therefore, regular trainings on water are necessary for intervening units.
